1. What is offered
MadTaxi refunds to the first 10 drivers who meet these terms the fee for issuing a taxi licence (licence card) that the driver actually paid to a state or municipal authority in order to drive with MadTaxi. The amount paid is refunded in full, based on proof of payment.
2. Who can take part
- A driver who applied during the campaign (6 November – 31 December 2026) at madtaxi.lv/en/become-a-driver and whose application MadTaxi has approved, and who ticked campaign participation when first signing in to the MadTaxi driver app.
- The refund only covers a licence fee paid on or after 1 November 2026 (payment date on the proof).
- Each driver can receive the refund only once.
- Employees of SIA "Selado" cannot take part.
3. Conditions for the refund
3.1. Drivers who apply from 6 November to 31 December 2026:
- the application is approved;
- the driver has joined the campaign in the MadTaxi driver app by ticking consent to the campaign terms (offered when first signing in to the app; drivers who have not joined are not counted among "the first 10");
- by 31 December 2026 (inclusive), at least 3 completed and paid rides with customers in the MadTaxi app;
- proof of paying the licence fee has been submitted (see section 4).
Cancelled rides, rides where the customer and the driver are the same person or use the same device or payment card, and rides made to unfairly meet the campaign conditions do not count.
4. How the refund is requested
Drivers don't need to apply. The MadTaxi system tracks completed rides automatically. When a driver has completed 3 rides and is among the first 10 (see section 5), MadTaxi sends a notification and a request to submit proof of the licence payment appears in the driver's profile in the MadTaxi Drivers app.
The driver uploads proof of payment (a photo of the receipt or bank statement) showing the payer, amount, date and purpose. The payment must be made in the name of the driver or the driver's company. If submitting in the app isn't available, the proof can be sent to support@madtaxi.lv or via the support chat on madtaxi.lv.
5. Who are "the first 10"
The refund goes to the first 10 drivers who meet the conditions in section 3.1. The order is determined by the moment the third ride is completed. The campaign ends when 10 refunds have been granted or on 31 December 2026, whichever comes first. The deadline to meet the conditions is the same for all drivers — 31 December 2026; rides after that date do not count.
6. Payment of the refund
Once MadTaxi has checked the proof of payment and approved the refund, the driver gets a notification and the refund is added to their next weekly payout to the bank account used for MadTaxi payouts. It appears as "Licence refund" in the earnings statement. The refund is paid no later than 14 days after the proof of payment is approved. If the proof doesn't meet these terms, MadTaxi rejects it and gives the reason - the driver can submit it again. The driver pays any taxes on the refund according to the rules that apply to their business activity.
7. Other terms
- MadTaxi may refuse the refund in case of fraud, false documents or a breach of these terms or the Driver Terms of Use.
- MadTaxi may change or end the campaign by publishing the changes on this page. Changes do not affect drivers who had already met all conditions before the changes were published.
- Personal data is processed for the campaign according to the Privacy Policy.
